RS-NMC-1 CCIE Course
Determine where you are in the roadmap to CCIE success and to fill technology gaps through lecture
-
What are the prerequisites for the course?
You must have passed the CCIE® written exam. We recommend that you take RS-NMC-1 three to six months before you're the date you plan to take the CCIE® lab. We recommend that you take RS-NMC-2 six weeks to one month before your CCIE® lab date.
- What makes NetMasterClass better than other CCIE® training classes?
The answer is simple – the instructors. Each class has Bruce Caslow, Val Pavlichenko, and Bob Sinclair teaching the class. With the class size limited to seven students, this instructor-student ratio is not available in any other training class. Bruce, Val, and Bob are very experienced teachers having taught CCIE® preparation training classes for over eight years. All are published authors, have completed complex consulting jobs and know the technology and how it is used, and most importantly, they know how to impart this knowledge to the student. Bruce and Val’s book, Cisco Certification Bridges, Routers and Switches for CCIE’s, is considered one of the corner stones for CCIE® studies.
In addition to outstanding instructors, NetMasterClass allows the student to access to course information. As soon as a student registers and pays for the course, a personal portal is created for him. In this personal portal he has access to the roadmap for study, the ability to do a self assessment, the DOiT lab workbook, and the Technical Library. He can start to review topics at any time after registering. After the class, he has access to all the same information including the work he preformed in class. NetMasterClass uses its ShowiT tool for all labs done in class. The ShowiT engine to allows the student to compare his lab output -both configuration scripts and IOS show command output - with a master answer key containing the same content. Using ShowiT is like having access to two racks of routers with the labs configured on both of them. On one rack is the student's configurations and all associated IOS show command output. On the other rack is the Master Answer Key's configurations with all of its associated IOS show command output. ShowiT allows the candidate to compare these two sets of output in a split-screen accessible via the web by typing in the appropriate Cisco show command. ShowiT supports over 1500 Cisco show commands in addition to NMC proprietary commands. NetMasterClass is the only training company that provides online access to all class materials including the labs he does in class for review and study after leaving the class. Additionally, the student has access to a forum monitored by paid CCIE's to answer any questions the student may have after the class. -
What materials do I receive with RS-NMC-1 and RS-NMC-2?
The class includes proprietary materials prepared by our CCIE's. With either class, you receive the creation of your own personal study portal, the DOiT lab workbook on-line version, and access for nine months to the NMC Technical Library.
- What is the NMC Technical Library?
The on-line library, compiled from the knowledge base of our instructors, contains over 1,000 pages of comprehensive explanations of each technology covered on the CCIE® exam. A through understanding of each technology is the first step in passing the CCIE® lab. However, it is just as important to know which is the appropriate technology and how to apply that technology using best practices in solving complex internetworking problems. The Technical Library assists the candidate in achieving this by providing decision diagrams and checklists. The library is completely searchable by technology, decision diagram, checklists or where the technology fits into the roadmap. The student can add links to other information (such as the Cisco documentation or other web sites). The library then becomes the student's personal library and houses in one place the information NetMasterClass adds as well as information added by the student.

What is the difference between RS-NMC-1 and RS-NMC-2?
NetMasterClass breaks its classroom training into two one-week courses. RS-NMC-1 is designed to expedite the CCIE® preparation by helping the candidate determine exactly where he is in the roadmap to CCIE® success and to fill technology gaps through lecture. The class is approximately 60% lecture and 40% hands-on equipment. Upon completion of the technology lecture that includes best practices for applying the technology, the candidate completes labs based on that technology. The class culminates with the completion of an eight-hour graded CheckiT lab that combines all the technologies. Additionally, the candidate is schooled in how to develop study plans, how to develop and use checklists and decision diagrams to formulate the mindset needed to pass the CCIE® lab. With this information stored in the candidate's on-line portal, he can review the material covered in the RS-NMC-1 class as frequently as he wishes. The RS-NMC-1 class is recommended for all candidates.
The RS-MNC-2 is designed to provide practice in a timed setting for completing CheckiT labs equivalent in difficulty to the actual CCIE® lab. Each day the candidate completes a lab and then the instructor provides an in-depth review of the lab solution including how to use checklists, decision diagrams, and time mangement tools. This class is approximately 80% hands-on and 20% lecture. Again, the candidate has access to all labs including his configurations, the answer key, the Master Answer Key configurations, and complete graded reports for each lab in his portal so he can review the material as often as he wishes. The RS-NMC-2 class is recommended for candidates six weeks prior to their lab attempt. - When should I take RS-NMC-1 and RS-NMC-2?
e recommend that RS-NMC-1 be taken two to six months before you plan to take the CCIE® exam. In this class you will determine your strengths and weaknesses. Along with the strategies taught in the class, you will be able to focus your studies more effectively.
We recommend that RS-NMC-2 be taken six weeks to one month before you plan to take the exam. This is the final steps and practice before the actual exam. - How do I confirm a seat in the class?
To confirm a seat, payment must be received. We accept credit cards (Visa, American Express, or Master Card) and company purchase orders.
- How far ahead should I confirm?
These classes fill quickly so the further ahead you confirm the better. To find availability information on a class, contact India Teller at 1-888-677-2669 or sales@netmasterclass.net.
- What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations received 21 days before the beginning of the class result in a full refund. Cancellations received 8 to 20 days before the beginning date of the class result in a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 8 days before the beginning of the class result in no refund.
- Do you provide help after the class is completed?
All students have access to the NetMasterClass Bulletin Board Service (and its Archive). The BBS has web-based access for students completing the RS-NMC 1 & RS-NMC 2 classes, as well as access by scenario for the DOiT lab workbook users. The BBS is monitored by CCIE's and answers to student's questions are responded to by the CCIE's to insure quick and accurate answers. The archive has a year and a half of accumulated questions making the BBS immediately one of the best resources a candidate will have for continued study.
- What is the personal training portal?
Upon registration for a course or purchasing any NetMasterClass product, a personal portal is created for you. Accessible via the web, the user has an individual space that is password protected and allows you to access all your NetMasterClass services in one place. In addition to access to everything you have with NetMasterClass, you can also add other learning materials (such as information from the Cisco Documentation) allowing you unprecedented organization as you continue your studies.
